Position Summary
The Facilities Operations Specialist is responsible for the overall direction, coordination and management of the Operations team. They organize team members and departments to complete projects and ensure the club facilities are clean, safe, and operating efficiently, while maintaining and repairing fitness equipment and all building related support systems.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintains indoor and outdoor club cleanliness and safety
- Ensures equipment on the fitness floor is working properly
- Maintains the building, pools, electrical work, heating and cooling components and grounds
- Repairs basic plumbing, electrical systems and hardware
- Maintains the monthly and annual department budget
- Provides hiring, promotion, disciplinary and termination recommendations to the General Manager
- Recruits, hires, trains, schedules and manages Facility Operations team members
- Manages inventory and labor costs according to budgetary guidelines
Position Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2 to 3 years of facility maintenance experience or equivalent training
- Certified Pool Operator License (CPO) within six months of hire date, and CPR/AED certification required within the first thirty days after hire date
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Proficient Computer Skills in Microsoft Office
Preferred Requirements
- College degree in business, hospitality or related field
- Supervisory experience
- Health and Fitness operations experience
Pay
This is an hourly position with wages starting at $24.50 and pays up to $32.75, based on experience and qualifications.Benefits
