JOB SUMMARY
The Associate in this position will be a member of the Patient Access Services Team. The Associate will be responsible for performing duties related to pre-registration for scheduled patients and verification of insurance's for both scheduled and emergency admissions. Ensures that all services are delivered in accordance with the mission statement and SPIRIT values of Service, Performance, Integrity, Respect, Innovation and Teamwork of Carroll Hospital.

SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS
Must have good communication skills. Ability to read and write well enough to receive and process insurance information and maintain logs. Proficient with the use of the telephone with a strong customer satisfaction orientation.

REQUIREMENTS
- Required High School Diploma or equivalent
- Less than 2 years At least one year working in a healthcare setting, medical business office or hospital environment with knowledge of registering patients, insurance and managed care benefits relating to hospital services. Must have demonstrated ability to work effectively with the public. Required
- Medical Terminology Certificate
