Summary
JOB SUMMARY: This position supports Sinai Physician Practices. The Practice Manager is responsible for all revenue cycle functions performed in the faculty practice through collaboration and communication with physicians, staff, and billing services to ensure efficient and effective operations. Manages the staff and operations of the faculty practice, evaluating operational needs and providing recommendations to continually improve performance against budget, and standards.
REQUIREMENTS: Basic professional knowledge; equivalent to a Bachelor's degree; working knowledge of theory and practice within a specialized field. Education discipline in Business Administration, Health Care Administration, or related field. 3-5 years of experience. Microsoft Office Suite; Basic computer skills; IDX; Standard Office Equipment; Medical terminology; Critical thinking skills; Financial and business planning skills; Interpersonal communication skills; Written communication skills; ICD-10 and CPT coding familiarity. Demonstrates the ability to follow verbal instructions, as well as the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Demonstrates the ability to negotiate on the company's behalf.
- Experience in office administration and staff supervision in a health care setting preferred.
- Ideal candidate will have experience in medical practice administration and working directly with physicians and mid-level providers in a practice setting managing the support staff.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Must be able to work independently under department guidelines.
- Excellent time management skills.
