What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Finance position at Lifeline Inc.?
Lifeline is hiring a part-time Director of Finance. This 20 hour per week exempt position would maintain a basic knowledge of all Lifeline programs, data systems and their application process. In addition to the responsibilities listed below:
- Track and manage all spending for multiple grants with different contract specifications and reporting needs. This includes administration of payroll, accounts receivable and accounts payable across multiple grants.
- Assure all reports relating to payroll, payroll tax, and related fringe benefits are presented in a timely manner in accordance with required IRS and state regulations.
- Utilizes the grants management system software to track expenditures and revenues by grant and funder.
- Prepares and interprets budgetary and financial reports and reimbursement requests required by funding sources, assuring that all reports are presented in an accurate, timely manner and in accordance with required formats.
- Conduct agency banking, including deposits, withdrawals and monthly general ledger reconciliations.
- Prepares annually for yearly agency-wide audits and biennial state monitoring audits, as well as other requests from funders.
- Assures that all appropriate documentation is maintained on a daily/weekly basis to reflect the provision of services in accordance with federal, state and internal program guidelines.
- Assists the Executive Director and admin team in the formulation of the annual budgets, grant applications and outcome reports.
- Prepares budget revisions as needed.
- Manages agency fixed assets.
- Acts as point of contact for agency insurance contracts and retirement plans.
- Provides monthly written and verbal reports to the admin team and Lifeline Board of Directors.
- Attends training sessions and state meetings as required and any other duties necessary for the efficiency of the Agency.
- Performs other duties as assigned as they specifically relate to the mission of Lifeline
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in finance, accounting or related field. Equivalent combination of education and experience can be considered in lieu of Bachelor’s Degree.
Experience: A minimum of one-year experience in social service or public administration or the equivalent combination of training and experience.
