About the role
The CMA, Team Lead will be responsible with assisting our medical Assistants with their questions and concerns while providing solutions. You will serve as a liaison between our Medical Assistant and the Direct Supervisor, so professionalism and expert supervisor skills are a must.
Responsibilities
- First point of escalation for all MA Team members for support-related questions
- Serve as an escalation point for all MA team members for support-related questions or supervisor calls
- Provide backup support for the medical assistant team, which includes all functions of a medical assistant
- Assist in the supervision of work and performance of clinic staff including medical assistants and other support staff, as instructed, including input for performance reviews and corrective action plans as needed.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications
- Guiding care delivery and ensuring patient flow within the site
- Scheduling patient appointments and maintaining communication to confirm a future appointment
- Documenting patient medical information and intake forms
- Ensure all related reports, labs, and information is completed and available in the patient's chart prior to their appointment
- Performing data entry tasks to document patient records within the database and maintaining patient charts
- Answering and responding to patient questions and concerns in a timely manner
- Recording vital signs
- Correspondence with customer service representatives regarding patient questions
- Oversee and train new and existing staff along with the clinical director
- Maintaining Professionalism at all times
- Answering messages and tasks in a timely manner; refilling prescriptions when ordered by physicians
- Maintains a safe, secure, and a healthy work environment
- Assist with New Hire Training/ Interviewing
- Create Monthly Work schedules for MAs and MSRs
- Excellent computer skills and tech-savviness
- Must possess excellent phone etiquette
- Must have strong data entry skills
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
- CMA/RMA Certification and at least 2 years of experience
- Experience working in a medical office and knowledge of medical terminology is required

- This position is onsite full-time (M-F, 2pm-11pm EDT) with rotating weekend shifts
- Hourly Pay: $25.00/hr
