Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to provide comprehensive mental health services within a clinical setting. The LPC will deliver individual, group, and family counseling across diverse populations, including children, adolescents, adults, and seniors. The role involves conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and utilizing evidence-based therapeutic modalities to support clients' mental health and well-being. The ideal candidate will have experience working with various mental health conditions such as PTSD, developmental disabilities, addiction, grief, and behavioral issues. Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9, ICD-10 coding, and medical terminology.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with client needs and clinical best practices.
- Provide psychotherapy using modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and behavior management techniques.
- Facilitate individual, group, and family counseling sessions for diverse populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, patients with autism or developmental disabilities, and those experiencing trauma or PTSD.
- Engage in crisis intervention and crisis management to ensure client safety and stability.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including medical professionals, social workers, educators, and support staff to coordinate care.
- Participate in research activities related to behavioral health or clinical practices to enhance service quality.
- Stay current on clinical research developments and integrate new techniques into practice.
- Provide telehealth services as needed to expand access to care.
- Ensure adherence to all legal and ethical standards related to mental health counseling.
Experience
- Proven experience in psychotherapy with a focus on mental health counseling across various settings such as outpatient clinics or inpatient facilities.
- Demonstrated expertise in working with children & family counseling, substance abuse treatment (addiction counseling), grief counseling, chronic pain management, or working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities.
- Familiarity with crisis intervention strategies and crisis management protocols.
- Experience utilizing ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding for documentation purposes.
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to behavioral health and mental health conditions.
- Experience providing telehealth services is preferred.
- Background in research or clinical research projects is advantageous.
- Ability to work effectively within HIPAA guidelines ensuring confidentiality of patient records.
