Description
Do you have a passion to work with grieving families? Do you have clinical experience such as LPN or EMT/Paramedic experience? Are you looking for a challenge in your career? LifeShare is hiring only those that are passionate about organ, eye, and tissue donation to serve families and hospital staff throughout the donation process. This position will be on-site at our headquarters in Oklahoma City, OK. All communication with families and hospital staff will be over the phone. In this role you will:
- Communicate with hospital staff to evaluate donor eligibility
- Communicate the process of donation with families
- Request authorization for donation from legal next of kin
- Complete a medical/social history interview with the family
Qualifications
- Associate degree in biological sciences or two years in related health field experience preferred.
- Strong critical thinking skills required.
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology and human anatomy.
- Ability to work effectively with a variety of medical professionals including hospitals, medical examiners, and funeral homes.
- Ability to speak and communicate clearly to accurately convey information to donor families and other professional staff.
- Strong awareness of personal limitations and demonstrates a willingness to seek advice or assistance as needed.
- Strong organizational and time management skills required.
- Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work independently and as part of a team required.
- Good problem-solving and creative thinking skills.
- Proven ability to handle highly stressful situations in a calm and efficient manner. Well-developed personal stress management skills.
- Experience in measured performance, results-oriented environments preferred.
Salary : $32,600 - $41,300
