Oversees the nursing care of patients through assessment, education, pharmacy and infection control.
Relationships and Contacts
Within the organization: Initiates and maintains frequent and close working relationships with all clients in as well as employees in other departments
Outside the organization: Maintains working relationships with vendors for pharmacy, phlebotomist and other outside sources that provide services to clients.
Position Responsibilities
Essential Responsibilities
- Assesses newly admitted clients.
- Identifies and addresses all medical issues and medication needed for treatment
- Take verbal /written orders and priority settings from Director of Nursing
- Administer daily medications to all residential and PHP clients.
- Prepare and document medication that is to be delivered to Osceola House per prescribed orders given by Director of Nursing.
- Notifies the Director of Nursing, Clinical Director, Therapist and Medical Director of significant findings or changes in the patients physical or mental condition.
- Assist the treatment team in medical and treatment instruction given by primary therapist.
Education and Experience
Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
License – Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state of Florida. License must remain clear and current.
CPR - Required

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to communicate with peers/general public, clients and/or vendors
- Job performance will require the ability to move throughout the building as well as sit or remain stationary for extended periods of time
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to talk or hear, sit, stand, walk, reach, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, taste or smell.
- Ability to move 25 pounds

- 12 step programs and ability to coordinate services for clients
