What are the responsibilities and job description for the Child Care Assistants position at Lifesteps Inc?
Lifesteps Early Education Center is currently hiring full-time or part-time Child Care Assistants to work with children 6 weeks to 5 years of age, with and without special needs, in an integrated daycare setting in Butler, PA.
The Child Care Staff duties consist of: parent interaction, outside play activities, planning and implementing classroom curriculum, circle time, crafts, and more. Experience with special needs children or toddlers is preferred, but not required. The position offers daylight hours, Monday through Friday. No weekends!

Child Care Assistant Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED and two years of experience with children - can be paid or unpaid experience - such as babysitting, church nursery, summer camps, teacher aide, assistant group supervisor AGS, etc.
- OR - CDA or Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education or similar human services or education field
- OR - Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood, Special Education, Elementary Education, Child & Family Development, Art Therapy, Music Therapy, or a similar Human Service degree
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to obtain acceptable clearances
