POSITION SUMMARY The Mobile Support Department is responsible for preparing and loading all the necessary supplies, equipment, and vehicles to ensure the success of every mobile blood drive and donor center operation. Under the direction of the Mobile Staging management, this position is responsible for ensuring that all mobile equipment is loaded and operational for daily use. Responsible for unpacking, storing, maintaining and rotating inventoried items, supplies and equipment within the mobile support areas. Pulls and stages mobile totes, supplies and equipment according to schedule and requirements. Maintains proper inventory levels for kitting of all supplies.. Performs audits of inventories, equipment and supplies in mobile staging areas as needed and as required by various procedures. Maintains mobile staging areas in a neat and orderly arrangement. Provides unparalleled customer service and employee responsiveness
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Mobile Staging 1. Prepares all supplies for each region to ensure daily success of mobile drives and center operations. This is completed by kit/tote assembly. This assembly includes all duties related to the process; packing of new totes per requirements, restoring supplies to maintain proper min/max levels and proper completion of all required documentation. 2. Breaks-down used totes which includes unpacking of all items, verifying proper expiration dates and restocking appropriately 3. Ensures all necessary equipment is in good working condition for mobiles. Following proper protocol, removes equipment from service when necessary. 4. Loads and unloads mobile vehicles ensuring all totes, equipment and supplies are properly loaded and unloaded, and nothing is missing. 5. Maintains supplies, tools, equipment and work area in a neat and orderly arrangement. Work areas and supplies include (but not limited to) warehouse and mobile staging. 6. Responsible for maintenance and cleaning of mobile equipment, supply shelves and storage areas. 7. Loads and/or unloads vehicles. 8. Understands and adheres to all departmental and company procedure/policies. 9. May drive company vehicles to and from locations for delivery, service, or pick-ups. 10. Conforms to all safety practices as dictated by the Health and Safety Manual. 11. Performs other duties as assigned.

NATURE AND EXTENT OF SUPERVISION PROVIDED TO THE POSITION Overall, objectives and resource allocations are determined by the Supervisor, providing broad administrative direction, with assignments given in terms of broadly defined missions or functions. Employee plans, designs and carries out programs, projects, studies, or other work independently. Results are considered technically sound by virtue of the employee’s expertise, and are generally accepted with review only for conformity to objectives, contribution to program goals, or advancement of technological understanding.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS To perform this job successfully, each essential duty (as identified above) must be performed satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
GENERAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES 1. Ability to operate material handling equipment including the ability to load and unload trucks. 2. Ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing. 3. Ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences. 4. Basic computer skills. 5. Ability to understand the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making. 6. Ability to apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense. 7. Ability to manage difficult supply and demand patterns. 8. Ability to communicate effectively. 9. Math and reconciliation skills. 10. Knowledge of warehouse protocol. 11. Able to lift 40 pounds and push/pull 300 pounds. 12. Ability to perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials. 13. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. 14. Excellent time management skills (organized). 15. Strong customer service and follow-up skills.
EXPERIENCE 1 year experience in warehouse, stockroom and/or material handling a plus.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, ETC. Valid California Driver’s License. Forklift License a plus.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS Refer to ADA checklist attached for physical demands.
WORK ENVIRONMENT Typical non-standard conditions with moderate risks, driving, and maintenance work mechanical/electrical/HVAC tools/equipment
