What are the responsibilities and job description for the CACFP (Child and Adult Care Food Program) Monitor position at LIFT Community Action Agency, Inc.?

The CACFP (Child and Adult Care Food Program) Monitor recruits and monitors Family Day Care Home (FDCH) providers participating in the Child and Adult Food Program (CACFP). Enforces the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) regulations, Oklahoma CACFP policies and LIFT CAA policies and procedures. Reviews provider records for compliance and accuracy. Provides training and technical assistance to FDCH providers.

Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following;

  • Recruit, enroll and train providers in the CACFP.
  • Maintains an active caseload of FDCH providers; keeping accurate and current files on all assigned providers.
  • Schedule, implement and document required home visits.
  • Maintain positive relationships with child care providers in the local community.
  • Plan and conduct training, for the FDCH providers.
  • Assist in developing or revising LIFT CAA policies and processes.
  • Develop specific methods and system to monitor the implementation of CACFP.
  • Oversees provider menus and claims review processes, provider applications, child enrollment, tiering determination and income eligibility documentation.
  • Assist in developing and implementing staff and provider training.
  • Provide claim information to the Program Director to process CACFP reimbursement.
  • Participate in state sponsored workshops and professional conferences to keep abreast of regulatory changes.
  • Represent LIFT CAA at professional meetings, state and national conferences.
