Position: Driver

Job Summary: The Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of clients who are unable to transport themselves.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Safely operate and drive the company vehicles in accordance with all relevant legislation and company policies.
• Follow assigned schedule to ensure timely delivery or pick-up of passengers.
• Respond to calls from Dispatch for pick up in a timely manner.
• Load and unload goods or assist passengers in boarding and alighting the vehicles as required.
• Maintain a clean and organized vehicle interior and exterior, including biweekly vehicle cleaning and conducting regular monthly inspections and monthly maintenance logs to ensure it is in good working condition.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and traffic laws while driving, ensuring the safety of passengers, goods, and pedestrians.
• Manage WEX Card associated with assigned vehicle in accordance with policy.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, LBHS Staff, clients, or passengers to address any concerns or changes in the transportation schedule.
• Complete necessary paperwork, such as delivery or trip logs, and maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption.
• Report any accidents, injuries, or vehicle damage immediately to the relevant authorities and management.
• Provide excellent customer service, ensuring a friendly and professional demeanor during interactions with clients or passengers.
• Assist in the loading and unloading of goods as needed, ensuring they are properly secured and handled with care.

Required Experience/Certifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid State of Ohio Driver's License and valid car insurance
• Clean driving record with no history of major accidents or traffic violations
• Excellent knowledge of traffic laws and safety regulations
• Ability to lift heavy items and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading
• Must pass BCI check, all Corporate Compliance checks, and employment drug screen

• Must be 25 years or older

Preferred qualifications:

• CDL Blass B with passenger endorsement

Monday - Friday 7am - 3:30pm
