Courier/Delivery Driver

Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Courier Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the timely and safe delivery of supplies and specimens within the health network. As a Courier Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction through efficient service and excellent communication.

Duties

• Operate your own personal vehicle, preferably a SUV, Crossover, Wagon, Minivan, or Van .
• Load and unload supplies, specimens, pharmacy, and other items.
• PHYSICAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS: Individual must be able to meet established specific physical requirements of the job; sitting for up to six (6) hours/day, three (3) hours at a time; standing for up to one (1) hour/day, one (1) hour at a time; and walking for up to two (2) hours/day, fifty (50) minutes at a time. Occasionally handling and firm gripping when carrying equipment. Occasionally fingering and twisting/turning. Frequently lifting, carrying, pushing and walking objects weighing up to 100 pounds.
• Ensure all deliveries are made on time while adhering to traffic regulations and safety standards.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including addresses, times, and any special instructions.
• Provide exceptional customer service during interactions with clients and recipients.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety and reliability.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery status and any issues that may arise.

Skills

• Proven experience as a Courier or Delivery Driver is preferred.
• Strong driving skills with a valid commercial driving license (if applicable).
• Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics processes.
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
• Strong organizational skills to manage delivery schedules effectively.
• Ability to lift heavy packages (up to 50 pounds) as needed.
• Knowledge of local roads and navigation systems.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
