ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Responsible for the completion of work orders for tasks related to the physical maintenance and repairs of the assigned buildings utilizing work order-related software programs Responsible for implementing routine physical improvements Respond to emergency situations in accordance with departmental protocol Assist Supervisor in establishing and maintaining all equipment, tools, supplies in stock, inventories, and logs Implement, with the Supervisor, a comprehensive preventative maintenance plan and maintain all related records and logs Assist with controlling expenses associated with the operation of the buildings. Communicate effectively to appropriate individual building status and changes Adhere to all safety standards, policies & procedures, codes of conduct and best practices Act in a professional and courteous manner at all times with tenants, hospital client, co-workers, vendors, patients, etc. Utilize materials, supplies, tools and other building property in a safe, productive manner Perform other duties and special projects as assigned REQUIREMENTS Experience: Medical office/commercial office building experience is preferred. Education: High school graduate or GED required, technical school training in maintenance related courses are preferred. Special Qualifications (Certifications): CFC Handling Certification is preferred Ability to understand and interpret design documents, manufacturer’s specifications and written operational procedures Excellent interpersonal skills to ensure teamwork and positive client/tenant/co-worker relations Be able to take direction and follow instructions Must be safety conscious Ability to organize and prioritize tasks to ensure accuracy and timely completion Basic aptitude for mathematics 24-hour availability for emergencies and as part of an on-call rotation. Capable of doing extensive walking, climbing of stairs and ladders, lifting/carrying a minimum of 50 pounds by applying proper body mechanics Willingness to work overtime on special projects as required.
