Position: Fulfillment Center Associate (full-time and part-time)
Reports to: Assigned to specific Supervisors and Managers. Please see “Report-to Assignments” spreadsheet for a complete list.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The Fulfillment Center Associate has overall responsibility to work productively in the area of the Fulfillment Center, as the Senior Director of Fulfillment, Logistics and Facilities best sees fit for daily operation. Supervisors will assign specific tasks within their respective departments daily. Each Fulfillment Center Associate is responsible to know how to perform all of the following functions in both Retail/Wholesale and E-Commerce:
à receiving;
à putaway;
à picking;
à packing/manifesting;
à replenishment;
à VAS;
à cleaning the facility;
à trash removal; and,
à participate in the annual physical inventory.
- This position is responsible to follow all procedures and meet or exceed the required productivity rates established for all tasks in all departments.
- All Fulfillment Center employees must understand and adhere to the “Fulfillment Center Work Rules”. These works rules are posted on the bulletin boards located near the main entrances of the Fulfillment center.
- In addition, each Fulfillment Center Associate will be responsible to learn at least 2 of the following tasks:
à operate a forklift truck;
à sales sample processing;
à returns processing;
à zone checks;
à cycle counting;
à shipping; and,
à assist with building maintenance.
- This position is responsible for a sense of urgency and an appreciation of the deadlines set by the industry. Because of the seasonality of the industry, timeliness is essential. Merchandise is either on time or the deadline is missed; there is no concept of lateness. Deadlines must be met.
- This position is responsible to treat the merchandise with appreciation and respect. Lilly Pulitzerâ merchandise is special and high quality. It should be handled with care and respect.
- This position is responsible to assist in any company sales as assigned by the Senior Director of Fulfillment, Logistics and Facilities. This includes assisting with the set up, operations during and after the sales.
SKILLS REQUIRED TO PERFORM SUCCESSFULLY:

Ø 1st Shift 6:30 A.M. to 3:00 P.M.
Ø Standard Shift 7:30 A.M. to 4:00 P.M.
Ø 2nd Shift 10:30 A.M. to 7:00 P.M.

Ø 1st Shift 6:30 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.
Ø Standard Shift 6:30 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.
Ø 2nd Shift 8:30 A.M. to 7:00 P.M.
- This position requires responsibility, dependability and commitment. This position requires a sense of urgency and the ability to meet seasonal peaks, workloads and deadlines. In the apparel business there is no concept of lateness. The company is either on time or it has missed the deadline.
- This position requires the understanding and appreciation that the merchandise is high quality, premium apparel which should be handled with care and respect.
- The personal strength and stamina to walk briskly for most of the day while pushing a cart and the ability to place a carton of merchandise, weighing as much as 40 pounds, from the floor or cart to a pickable location, are required.
- The ability to operate a forklift truck is helpful, but not necessary.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- A high school diploma is strongly preferred, but not required for this position.
- One year of relevant work experience in a Fulfillment or materials handling environment, preferably in soft goods or apparel is strongly preferred, but not required for this position.
MISCELLANEOUS:
- This position is considered full-time, non-exempt, hourly for fringe benefit purposes. This position is eligible for overtime. Overtime requires prior authorization from the Senior Director of Fulfillment, Logistics and Facilities.
- In the absence of the Senior Director of Fulfillment, Logistics and Facilities, the group of Fulfillment Center Managers are in charge. This includes assigning all individuals, even Supervisors and the Group Leads, to specific tasks.
- Because of the seasonality of the industry, hours greater than forty hours per week, including work on some Saturdays, are often available. This position is expected to participate in 75% of overtime worked and all Saturdays.
- This position is reviewed annually.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.50 - $17.00 per hour
