This employee supervises all Customer Service functions of order entry while abiding by the procedures set forth by management.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assists the Customer Service Supervisor in overseeing all Customer Service personnel
- Answer incoming calls
- Assist customers with questions
- Enters new orders and assists sales representatives in obtaining compliant billable documents
- Actively participates in training all Customer Service personnel, including new hires
- Monitors the flow of orders to and from the Customer Service Department
- Deletes, corrects, or re-enters patient orders as necessary
- Monitors phone calls to ensure proper telephone techniques are used by Customer Service personnel
Qualifications:
- Read and analyze documents such as patient orders and chart notes
- Comprehend pharmacy prescription terminology
- Effectively communicate with co-workers and patients alike
- Help with the training of employees
- Calculate figures and amounts in reference to frequency and doses dispensed
- Apply common sense understanding to carry out oral and written instructions
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED), related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Computer entry experience necessary
