CORE COMPETENCIES & ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Under direct supervision, locates, constructs, operates, and maintains electrical line facilities in accordance with LES design standards and established policies, safety rules, procedures, and practices. Performs emergency and overtime work as necessary. Consistent and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position.

- Under direct supervision, plans the sequence of work and determines the nature of maintenance or repair needed.
- Under limited supervision can locate by direct connecting to the outside of energized equipment.
- Performs contractor standby activities for protection of LES facilities and the public.
- Under direct supervision, performs customer related activities regarding underground conductors by accurate utilization of cable location equipment and interpretation of all available maps and records.
- Completes accurate reports and forms for area of assignment such as work orders, time sheets, injury and accident reports, etc. Assists excavators in complying with State One-Call law.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Associates degree in related field, and
- Six months to one year of progressively responsible electric utility experience, or
- An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
