Description
Head Start has a full-time Instructional Coach opening in Tell City, working in centers located in Crawford, Harrison, Perry & Spencer Counties. Position will be year-round, working 35 hours per week. Responsible for providing high-quality practice-based coaching, guided reflection, and Head Start Birth-5 Education staff training. The Instructional Coach will provide guidance and support to staff with the implementation of curriculum/individual plans and ongoing assessment, identify appropriate training needs, participating in classroom observation, assessing program needs, planning system improvement strategies, and facilitating learning for staff to strengthen developmentally appropriate strategies.
Requirements
The applicant should be a graduate of an accredited college or university with at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Social, Family, or Human Services or correlated discipline is required; experience in working with adults in a teacher setting preferred.
Must meet Head Start and Indiana Child Care Licensing Regulations, including Head Start Standards of Conduct, federal and state criminal history requirements, sex offender registry checks, drug screen, physical and complete an annual T.B. test.
