Job Description Summary
Contribute to the quality of college life by fostering a safe and secure learning and working environment for all students, faculty, staff, and visitors. This position is for our Taylorville location.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Valid State of Illinois driver’s license.
- Must meet criteria outlined in the Illinois Public Community College Act (110ILCS 805/3-42.1), “…no person may be appointed hereunder unless the person is at least 21 years of age and possesses a high school diploma or equivalent. No person appointed to or retained in the security department unless that person is of good character and not a habitual drunkard, gambler or a person convicted of a felony or a crime involving moral turpitude.” Work history of demonstrated “people skills” in dealing with a variety of difficult circumstances.
Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a criminal background check and drug-screen.
Preferred Qualifications
Some college credit. Previous experience in law enforcement/corrections/EMS.

Position Salary
Starting rate will be $14.06 per hour.
