We are looking for exceptional people to provide extraordinary care as a Registered Nurse in our Outpatient Services.
This professional provides planned and highly skilled nursing care for the immediate pre-operative and post-operative patients. Through continuous patient surveillance, allows for early recognition of medical or surgical complications, which may arise in any patient.
Hours: PRN (as needed) Monday - Friday between the hours of 4:45am - 5:30pm. Shift times are variable, minimum requirement of 6 shifts in a rolling 3 month period.
- Admits patient to pre-op area, performs and documents assessments.
- Receives patient from surgery and evaluates needs of patient, administering care accordingly.
- Assesses and documents patient status. Evaluates nursing goals, care plan and outcomes.
- Performs pre and post-operative assessments and teaching.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and currently licensed to practice in the State of Nebraska as a Registered Nurse. Current licensure from a compact state requires Nebraska to be declared as their primary state of residence within thirty (30) days and must also obtain a Nebraska temporary permit or nursing license.
- Current BLS required at time of hire.
- ACLS and PALS required within 90 days of employment.
- Previous post-surgical care experience preferred.
- Prefer progressive and/or critical care experience.
