We are looking for exceptional people to provide extraordinary care as an Admissions Representative.
Hours: PRN (as needed)
Job duties include but are not limited to:
- Enrolling patients prior to surgery and verifying patient demographic and insurance information.
- Collecting any patient financial responsibilities and directing patients and families as necessary.
- Interact, direct, and instruct patients/visitors in a polite and courteous manner at all times.
- Review patient insurance information and notify appropriate personnel of any discrepancies.
- Obtain all necessary registration and consent signatures, ensuring all required registration documentation is accurate and complete.
- Answer multiple line telephone and accurately route calls and messages.
- Screen patients for COVID-19
- Ensure the quality of medical records by verifying their completeness, accuracy and proper data entry.
- Maintain and operate a variety of health record indexes and storage and retrieval systems to collect, classify, store and analyze information.
- Scan records into EMR according to department policy.
- Release information to persons and agencies according to regulations.
- Protect the security of medical records to ensure that confidentiality is maintained.
- Audit clinical records for proper content of necessary chart requirements and to ensure that clinical documentation meets minimum documentation standards.
- Previous inpatient, outpatient, and hospital registration experience preferred.
- Must obtain BLS within ninety (90) days of employment.
- Must be well organized and possess excellent communication skills.
- Computer proficiency is necessary, along with attention to detail.
