PRIMARY FUNCTIONS
The primary functions include repairing, maintaining, and installing machines, tools, and equipment. Maintains buildings, grounds, and utility systems of industrial plant. Includes ability to construct and maintain production plant facilities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the Major Responsibilities, including the following:
- Maintains machinery, equipment and facility.
- Plans and prepares preventative maintenance on production equipment.
- Plans and prepares preventative maintenance on facility equipment including, HVAC, dust collectors, compressors, etc.
- Responsible to troubleshoot and repair machinery and equipment.
- Able to operate various tools and equipment such as but not limited to cutting torch, welder, grinders, saws, etc.
- Responsible for maintenance and repair to pipes, plumbing, and fixtures.
- Able to complete some construction requirements such as carpentry, sheetrock, and painting.
- Has knowledge and know how to maintain and repair electrical switches and fixtures.
- Remains compliant with OSHA standards, EPA regulations, GMP and ISO policies and procedures and any other regulatory body's requirements pertaining to machinery, equipment or the facility.
- Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or GED; Manufacturing or Machine Maintenance a plus
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY:
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
