What are the responsibilities and job description for the Activities Assistant position at Linda Mar Rehabilitation?
Linda Mar Rehabilitation, a 5-star rehabilitation center, is currently looking for an Activities Assistant to provide support for Director of Activities. An ideal candidate will facilitate group and individual support and activities for the elderly residents and be available to work variable schedules, including some weekends, evenings, and holidays.
We are currently looking for someone able to work in a full-time or part-time role.
The duties of the activities assistant will involve personal contact with variety of resident population, record keeping, paying attention to environment, use of supplies and equipment, and maintenance of activity storage areas.
An ideal candidate for activities assistant will be able to:
- work with minimum supervision and follow departmental policies and procedures
- coordinate and implement programs, special events, and activities
- work as a team player with other staff members
- work cooperatively with all groups of all age levels
- handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- provide customer service
- respect authority
- respect residents rights including right of privacy and right to make decision
- communicate and use interpersonal skills to interact with coworkers, supervisor, and residents
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.15 - $20.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- Weekends as needed
