What are the responsibilities and job description for the Components Engineer Turbomachinery position at linde?
- You will be responsible for the Design and Engineering of Turbomachinery Packages made up of Piping Modules, Process Coolers, Valves, Instrumentation, Structural Frames, Seal Gas systems and Lube Oil systems
- Further, you will specify the Sizing, Design, and Applicable International Code of Pressure vessels that include Process coolers, Oil Coolers, Filter Housings, Lube Oil Tanks, and Process piping
- You also will perform or review Base Frame and Pipe Support Finite Element Analysis, Flexibility studies of Supplied Piping, and Anchor Bolt Sizing
- In this role, you will develop the project piping and instrumentation drawings (P&ID’s) of the Turbomachinery package, specify the Safety Valves, Manual Valves and Check Valves, support project Hazard Analysis and SIL assessments
- You will support the selection and Plan the wiring of Vibration, Speed, Pressure, Flow, and Temperature instruments supplied with Turbomachinery designs
- Additionally, you will perform the Package check-out, both in person and virtually with third party vendors, Travel up to 25% is required
- You also will support procurement activities of Turbomachinery Packages by producing requests for quotations, purchase specifications, bid evaluations, and purchase requisitions
