What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Civil and Structural Engineer position at linde?
- Lead global civil, structural, and architectural engineering discipline efforts in the preparation of deliverables in collaboration with Linde Engineering team and external parties to create procurement, fabrication, construction packages including engineering analysis, calculations, and specifications.
- Perform engineering analysis and calculations for civil and structural designs for industrial structures. Coordinate with the design team to prepare optimized design concept for foundations, equipment structures, and buildings for new facilities and revamps of existing facilities.
- Generate design sketches for feasibility studies and estimates quantities of civil and structural materials.
- Develop engineering criteria or basis of design documents based on current codes and standards.
- Prepare specifications and compile bid packages and coordinate with procurement and construction from initial quotation to order execution for foundations, steel structures, buildings, HVAC, and civil, structural, and architectural related components such as geotechnical investigations, geophysical surveys, ground penetrating radar, site preparation, architectural building fabrication including HVAC, and construction packages.
- Review vendor and shop drawings for civil, structural, and architectural materials
- Support procurement, fabrication, and construction by coordinating resolution of technical issues.
- Lead resolution of issues such as conflicting design requirements, suitability of materials and perform complex tasks often requiring development of new designs, processes, or techniques to develop or adapt designs.
