Registered Nurse (RN)

RN Responsibilities:
- Receives report from nurse going off duty
- Evaluates and assigns resident care on the basis of resident need
- Administers prescribed medications and treatments. Reorders medications and treatment supplies as needed for the assigned team
- Admits and orients new residents to the unit by completing initial assessment
- Completes required documentation ie: initial assessment, medical records, inventories controlled drugs, tube feeding flow sheet, glucometer records etc
- Answers resident call lights to determine resident needs and performs the service or directs them to a paraprofessional for performance of service.
- Other responsibilities may be assigned.
Qualifications
RN Requirements:
- Prior experience in geriatric preferred
- Prior medical and surgical nursing experience
- Graduate of an approved school of nursing
- Current registration in New York State is required
- RNs must be BLS or CPR certified
- Must have proof of COVID vaccination
