Position Summary
The Regional Service Manager oversees service department operations, technician productivity, and financial performance across the region. This role ensures smooth day-to-day execution, effective team development, and outstanding customer experience. We’re looking for a data-driven, people-focused leader who’s ready to build a strong, accountable, and healthy work culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruit, hire, train, and manage service staff in line with company standards
- Set clear performance expectations, conduct regular one-on-ones and reviews
- Monitor service metrics (e.g., call volume, productive hours) to drive improvements
- Lead technician development through training and skill matrices
- Manage staffing levels based on workload and efficiency
- Foster a culture of motivation, accountability, and team unity
- Achieve service revenue targets; control labor, parts, supply, and travel expenses
- Handle customer escalations, especially for high-value accounts
- Conduct quarterly visits and technician ride-alongs to ensure field excellence
- Run weekly service meetings and collaborate with sales/admin for a seamless customer experience
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized service department and inventory
- Ensure first-call dispatching and support efficient workload coordination
- Complete timely reviews and training recommendations for team members
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- 5 years in service management or supervisory role (mailing/copier industry a plus)
- Proven success leading high-performing service teams
- Strong analytical and data interpretation skills
- Excellent verbal/written communication, organizational, and leadership skills
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office; e-Automate or similar systems is a plus
- Ability to build relationships with clients and work cross-functionally
Supervisory Responsibility
This position directly supervises service technicians and field personnel.
Working Conditions & Physical Effort
- Office and field-based environment
- Occasional lifting (up to 75 lbs), filing, standing, and reaching
- Frequent communication required (speaking/hearing)
Travel
- Local travel for client visits and technician support
- Occasional vendor training travel
