Key Responsibilities:
- Team leadership: Plan, assign, and oversee the work of warehouse associates within your designated area.
- Quality control: Identify defective or damaged products and initiate timely corrective actions.
- Hands-on support: Step in as needed to assist with warehouse tasks, including loading/unloading, forklift operation, and product relocation.
- Inspections: Perform and document daily equipment and trailer inspections to maintain compliance and safety standards.
- Compliance checks: Review inbound and outbound shipments for accuracy, reporting any discrepancies or quality concerns.
- Coordination: Maintain clear and consistent communication with Traffic and Customer Service teams.
- Coaching: Provide guidance and constructive feedback to warehouse associates to support their growth and performance.
- Complete assigned projects and other duties as instructed by leadership.
- At least 3 years of experience in a warehouse and/or logistics environment.
- Ability to work in varying temperatures, from -20°F/-25°C in cold storage to 100°F/37°C in dry storage, with provided PPE and freezer gear.
- Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs./18 kgs. (weight requirements may vary by facility).
- Flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends, based on business needs.
- Comfortable working in environments with varying noise levels, which can occasionally be loud.
