This is a full-time on-site role for a General Ledger Accountant located in Austin, TX. The General Ledger Accountant will be responsible for preparing and maintaining general ledger records, reconciling accounts, supporting month-end and year-end close processes, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies. Additionally, the role involves analyzing financial data, preparing reports, and collaborating with internal departments to address discrepancies and improve financial processes.
- Strong proficiency in general ledger accounting, journal entries, and account reconciliations
- Experience with financial reporting, budget analysis, and month-end/year-end close procedures
- Familiarity with accounting software and tools, as well as basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other office applications
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and regulatory compliance standards
- Attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Prior experience in government or legal accounting services is a plus
