What are the responsibilities and job description for the Event Set-Up & Strike Student Worker position at Lipscomb University?
This student worker position will work with Event Management to set-up and strike events that occur on-campus. It does involve manual labor but offers consistent hours throughout the week along with nights and weekends.
-Work with the Event Set-Up & Strike Coordinators to prepare various venues on-campus for events by physically setting the needed furniture based on client’s needs.
-Communicate effectively with Event Set-Up & Strike Coordinators regarding schedule and availability.
-Interpret set-up diagrams and Banquet Event Orders (BEO) with event set-up information.
-Assist with equipment inventory and organization.
-Ability to push, pull and lift moderate to heavy weight throughout each shift.
-Ability to stand and be on your feet for long periods of time.
-Availability to work nights and weekends.
-Arrive promptly to assigned shifts.
-Maintain a positive manner with team members, guests, and clients.
-Supports Event Set-Up & Strike Coordinator to perform duties on day of event in their absence.
