This position involves food preparation, slicing meats and cheeses, making sandwiches, assisting customers, operating the cash register, and maintaining a clean and organized deli area. Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers, take orders, and provide excellent customer service
- Prepare sandwiches, salads, and other deli items based on recipes and customer requests
- Safely and accurately slice deli meats and cheeses using deli equipment
- Operate the cash register, process transactions, and handle payments
- Restock deli cases, shelves, and supplies as needed
- Maintain cleanliness of the deli area, prep stations, and front counter
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Assist with opening and closing duties
- Work as part of a team to ensure smooth daily operations
Qualifications
- Previous deli, food service, or cashier experience preferred but not required (training provided)
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy environment
- Basic math skills for handling transactions
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs
