As a PlaySpace Attendant at Little Diggers, you will play a vital role in ensuring a safe, enjoyable, and engaging experience for children and their families. You'll be responsible for managing the front desk, overseeing daily operations, and assisting with various activities within the playspace.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome visitors with a friendly and positive attitude.
- Provide information to customers about admission options, pricing, and rules.
- Operate the point-of-sale system to process admissions and handle cash/credit transactions.
- Ensure the playspace area is clean, organized, and safe for children's play.
- Monitor and enforce safety rules and guidelines to ensure a safe play environment.
- Periodically sweep up stray sand and perform general tidying within the playspace.
- Clean and sanitize commonly touched surfaces, including front desk and restrooms.
- Assist in preparing party rooms for birthday celebrations, including setup and cleanup.
- Assist party hosts and guests during parties to ensure a smooth experience.
- Perform basic maintenance tasks and report any maintenance issues to the management.
- Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and concerns professionally and promptly.
- Follow emergency procedures and protocols in case of incidents or accidents.
- Collaborate with co-workers to ensure smooth shift transitions and optimal teamwork.
- Adhere to company policies and guidelines at all times.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in customer service, childcare, or a similar role is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience and ability to work with children and parents.
- Attention to detail and ability to enforce rules and safety guidelines.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with point-of-sale systems.
- Ability to multitask and handle busy periods with composure.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and engage in active play for extended periods.
- Flexible schedule, including weekends.
