What are the responsibilities and job description for the Infant Assistant Teacher position at Little Dreamers Academy?
Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities and lesson plans for preschool-aged children
- Create a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow
- Provide individualized attention and support to each child
- Foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through play-based learning
- Collaborate with parents to ensure open communication and involvement in their child's education
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment
- Monitor and assess each child's progress and provide feedback to parents
Qualifications:
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in early childhood education or related field preferred
- Previous experience working with toddlers or preschool-aged children in a daycare or childcare setting
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices
- Certification in first aid and CPR preferred
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to manage behavior effectively and promote positive discipline techniques
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask
- Familiarity with classroom management strategies

Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- No nights
- No weekends
