We are seeking a motivated individual to join our Washington County team as a Head Start Classroom Teacher Assistant.

Essential Function (s): Teach children in the classroom with an emphasis on development of the whole child, to include partnership with parents and working with the entire family. Provide oversight to Teacher Assistants and parent volunteers. Ability to read, speak, and write with proficiency in English language. Provide and maintain a safe environment. Maintain regular attendance.
Educational Requirements:
· An associate’s or bachelor’s degree in child development or early childhood education, equivalent coursework, or otherwise meet the requirements the Head Start Act.
· Experience with preschool age children. Previous Head Start experience, community service experience, home visit experience, preferred but not required.
