VPK Teacher

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate VPK Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment. This role involves developing and implementing engaging lesson plans, managing classroom dynamics, and supporting the diverse needs of students. The Teacher will play a crucial role in promoting literacy, social skills, and overall childhood development.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement curriculum that meets the educational standards and fosters student engagement.
• Create lesson plans tailored to the individual needs of students, incorporating various teaching methods.
• Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a safe and conducive learning environment.
• Provide individualized support for students with special education needs and those requiring early intervention.
• Foster literacy education through creative activities that promote reading and writing skills.
• Maintain open communication with parents regarding student progress and classroom activities.
• Conduct assessments and standardized testing to evaluate student performance and growth.
• Collaborate with other educators in planning interdisciplinary lessons and activities.
• Utilize effective classroom management techniques to maintain order and discipline.
• Engage in continuous professional development to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field; teaching certification or CDA preferred.
• Experience working with children in various settings, including daycare, preschool, or private school environments.
• Strong understanding of childhood development principles and behavior management strategies.
• Familiarity with Montessori methods or similar educational philosophies is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Ability to plan lessons effectively while incorporating diverse learning styles.
• Experience in tutoring or teaching physical education is advantageous.
• Knowledge of math concepts appropriate for early learners is beneficial.
