LiveLung is seeking a caring, organized, and dependable Meeting Facilitator to lead our High Point, NC Chapter monthly support and education meetings. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys connecting with people, making a difference, and ensuring events run smoothly.
About the Role:
As the chapter Meeting Facilitator, you’ll be the welcoming face and steady presence at each monthly meeting. You’ll help create a warm, safe, and empowering environment for lung cancer patients and their care partners by ensuring everything is prepared, in place, and people feel supported.
Key Responsibilities:
· Attend and facilitate monthly in-person meetings (1st Wednesday of each month from 12:00 – 1:30 PM in High Point, NC)
· Arrive by 11:30 AM to prepare and stay after to clean up
· Greet and welcome attendees, including patients, care partners, and guest speakers
· Facilitate the flow of the meeting with empathy and professionalism
· Ensure A/V setup is ready for the speaker (PowerPoint, projector, Zoom)
· Coordinate lunch setup and cleanup (lunch is delivered)
· Distribute LiveLung materials as needed
· Maintain attendance records and basic meeting notes
· Be attentive to the needs of participants—offering a kind word, a tissue, or a moment of comfort as needed
· Communicate with the LiveLung team before each meeting to ensure smooth coordination
Qualifications:
· Warm, approachable, and reliable with a heart for service
· Excellent organizational and communication skills
· Comfortable speaking in front of a small group
· Tech-savvy enough to troubleshoot basic A/V issues (training provided)
· Experience in healthcare, support groups, event coordination, or nonprofit work is a plus but not required
Compensation:
This is a part-time, stipend-based role (paid per meeting). Training and ongoing support will be provided.
