Livestock Nutrition Center specializes in blending customized rations, supplements and premixes to meet the specific nutritional needs of livestock producers operations. We understand that management, performance objectives and feeding practices can be vastly different between operations, and that these differences dictate specific nutritional or formulation requirements. Our experienced sales staff and nutritionist will work with the producer to design a feeding program that is specific to their operation.

Qualifications
Job Summary
This position will be responsible for processing payroll, as well as providing support for various stages in the life cycle of employees.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Process bi-weekly payroll for approximately 500 employees including maintaining appropriate documentation for direct deposit changes, and a list of all payroll file changes made.
- Complete onboarding processes for new hires, which includes following up on benefit enrollment and completion of all new hire checklists.
- Assisting employees with short-term disability, long-term disability claims, parental leave, FMLA, and unpaid leaves which includes submission of claims, tracking, and managing payment of benefits from the employee.
- Respond to unemployment claims by submission deadline.
- Complete after-payroll reports which includes: Payroll Journal entries, accruals and overtime reports in a timely manner.
- Manage employee auto insurance documentation.
- Updating employee files including but not limited to disciplinary actions, drug screens, and background checks in HRIS system
- Respond to and set up child support orders and garnishments in a timely manner.
- Distribute monthly milestone anniversary communication.
- Manage drug screen processes including documentation for pre-employment, randoms, and post accident screenings.
- Archive payrolls in HRIS system.
- Processes all personnel action forms for rate changes, position changes and terminations.
- Distribution of W2’s and 1095 forms annually.
- Completion of all written employment verifications.
- Ensure adherence to employment laws including I-9 verifications and processing I-9’s through E-Verify.
- Make sure all locations have updated labor law poster annually.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
- Associate degree and minimum of 2 years of experience or 3 years of experience without a college degree.
- Previous experience processing payroll is required.
- Skilled in Office Suite, including Excel spreadsheets.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a strong sense of urgency
- Must work independently with minimal supervision
- Must be detail oriented and complete work with a high degree of accuracy
- Excellent organizational and analyzing skill set.
- Knowledge of HR principles and practices, employment law and regulations
- Experience with tracking leave of absences
- Proven ability to prioritize multiple objectives with different deadlines.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong sense of customer service with both internal and external customers.
- Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality.
- Must be an independent, self-starter.
- Ability to work in an open office environment.
- The position is in the office 5 days a week
Experience with Paycom preferred.
