Responsibilities:
· Creates and publishes master schedule for all production centers based on capacity, materials, and shipping dates
· Coordinates with Supply Chain to ensure necessary components (live goods, hard goods, accessories, etc) are available to complete production work orders
· Serves as the central key organizer of all functions (sales, supply chain, production) in order to accommodate weekly production schedules.
· Facilitates meetings weekly to properly plan weekly buckets for production.
· Makes all necessary adjustments to the schedule, communicating with all interested parties to ensure efficient production to meet sales demands
· Ensures orders are completed on time and fulfilled to customer expectations
· Identifies delays, problems, and reports to Director of Production the issues and possible solutions
· If orders cannot be produced according to the planned schedule, makes all necessary communications and adjustments to ensure the orders are completed as soon as possible to meet sales order demand.
· Manages labor capacity and works with sales managers to create an efficient and manageable flow of sales orders/work orders
· Reviews at risk orders by working with production and sales team
· Tracks production against production plan/schedule
· Updates BOM labor costing on a regular as needed basis
· Develops and prepares production reports
· Monitor customer forecast variations and alerts team of potential challenges.
· Defer work orders monthly based on customer driven MRP changes
· Manages inventory system, currently through SAP
· Develop, implement, and monitor all key functions related to inventory transactions to assure accuracy and timeliness
· Perform inventory analysis and management
· Maintain inventory across various units of measure
· Develop and review inventory procedures and recommend improvements
· Coordinate cycle counts for raw materials with purchasing
· Reconcile inventory discrepancies and follow-up with an investigation to determine the root cause of the discrepancies
· Generation and maintenance of inventory reports within SAP
· Examine the levels of raw materials and supplies to determine shortages
· Overall discovery and analyzation of discrepancies in the inventory data and improving control systems
· Manage the correction or adjustment of negative inventory quantities in a timely manner
· Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Qualifications:
- BA/BS
- Planning and Scheduling experience in a manufacturing/assembly setting
- Understanding of Production and Supply Chain issues and challenges
- Previous MRP/ERP experience
- Strong Communication and Excel skill
