JOB SUMMARY:

Maintains assigned areas in a neat, clean and sanitary condition by utilizing the proper procedures and following appropriate schedule.

Schedule:

  • 1.0FTE (40 hours)
  • 5pm- 1:30am

Compensation:

  • $20.00/hr DOE
  • Shift Differentials
  • Robust Benefits Package

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Sweeps and mops floor, cleans carpets and washes walls.
  2. Cleans, disinfects and deodorizes lavatories
  3. Dusts and polishes furniture, doors, etc.
  4. Washing and making beds.
  5. Moves furniture and equipment including beds, chairs, tables on wheels as needed to clean.
  6. Collects linen, empties trash from assigned areas.
  7. Requisitions supplies.
  8. Maintains assigned equipment reporting items needing repair to supervisor.
  9. Mixes, uses and disposes of chemicals following a safe procedure.
  10. Performs transfer/discharge cleaning as assigned.
  11. Carries out duties utilizing appropriate safety and security practices.
  12. Any other duties assigned by the Facility Services Manager.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Required to cross train as laundry aide.
  2. Flexible to clean off campus facilities or clinics as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS (Required):

  1. Ability to follow both verbal and written directions.
  2. Maintain confidentiality guidelines set forth by Livingston HealthCare

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Medium to medium-heavy according to Livingston HealthCare’s physical demand classifications. Although on occasion an employee may be required to lift, carry, push, or pull objects or patients heavier than said classification, with or without assistance. Occasionally required to walk or stand for extended periods of time.

Medium: Lift: 50 lbs from floor to waist height using proper body mechanics. Lift: 25 lbs from waist height to shoulder height using proper body mechanics. Carry: 50 lbs 40 feet. Push: 50 lbs of force 35 feet. Pull: 50 lbs of force 35 feet.

Medium- Heavy: Lift: 60 lbs from floor to waist height using proper body mechanics. Lift: 50 lbs from waist height to shoulder height using proper body mechanics. Carry: 60 lbs 40 feet. Push: 60 lbs of force 35 feet. Pull: 60 lbs of force 35 feet.

MACHINERY AND EQUIPMENT:

Frequently required to operate electrical/mechanical equipment. Use of computer required with competency training

EQUIPMENT:

Frequent exposure to cleaning chemicals, moving objects, confined spaces, slippery surfaces, varying temperatures and noise. Frequent exposure to blood and body fluids
