Lincoln Land Community College is accepting applications for Logger Activities Board Student Workers. Students in this role can creatively engage other students and build community through events and activities.Student Workers for the Loggers Activities Board (LAB) work as a team to plan and implement events and activities that align with the mission and goals of LLCC and the Student Life Office.Responsibilities include:Developing educational and social events for LLCC students, using a programming model and planning templateProviding event support at scheduled LAB events including setup, breakdown and facilitation as neededPromoting activities across LLCC campuses by working with the Student Life team, including the Graphic Design Intern, on publicity from flyers to social media postsCollecting information from students about what they would like to see happening and responding to their suggestions.Tracking event participation through sign-ins and/or program evaluationsPerforming other duties as assigned as a part of the Student Life Office team.All LLCC Student Workers have the following institutional responsibilities:Uphold LLCC’s mission, as well as certain standards of conduct within the College and in dealings with students, staff, faculty and the general public.Responsible for compliance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and other regulations with regard to confidentiality of and access to student and other institutional records.Student Workers will be paid minimum wage and will be scheduled to work 5-20 hours per week.Requirements include the following:Must maintain satisfactory academic progressMust be enrolled at least half-time (6 credit hours) during the semester of employment, with the exception of summer termComplete LLCC’s mandatory harassment prevention training within 30 days of employmentMinimum GPA 2.5Understand and support the mission of Lincoln Land Community College and Student Life, and Logger Activities BoardDemonstrate the ability to work independently be reliable, responsible, confident, flexible, and willing to helpDemonstrate a desire to learn about the college and help others adjust to college through campus engagementExhibit the ability to work and communicate effectively with a diverse group of team members, students, vendors, and LLCC faculty and staffIf working with minors, employment will be contingent upon successful completion of a criminal background check.LLCC strives to create an inclusive workplace and environment for our students, faculty and staff.
