Gaming: Welcome to the world of land-based gaming. Light & Wonder’s gaming team builds cutting-edge technology, products, and content for the most iconic casinos and operators across the globe. Position Summary Primarily responsible for supporting and deploying computer components for the Gaming Network, including routers, switches, windows controllers, and other data communications systems within the LNW Gaming network. Essential Job Functions: Performs tier II escalation troubleshooting and support for internal and external customer networks within the LNW Gaming network Coordinate installation and provisioning of network equipment with customers, field service, and ISP’s Performs network maintenance and upgrades as required Maintains and supports the Solarwinds NMS system elements, alerts, and databases Maintains standard network configurations in routers, switches and firewalls Reviews daily/monthly reports of network outages and issues Troubleshoots and resolves network WAN outages and escalates with telecom provider as needed Researches, resolves and documents Syslog generated error messages Provides change management support for network projects as needed Provide in-house wiring and cabling for WAN circuits and between game elements on the customer LAN Provides 24/7 on call support on a rotational basis Coordinate projects that include other departments Manage inventory with buyers for installs Review current topology of our sites to progress to specific teams Process equipment from site removals (removing current configs etc) Other tasks as assigned Training and/or Experience: 3 years supporting a large enterprise network Cisco CCNA certification or relevant experience preferred Security , Network , A certifications preferred Qualifications Education: BS or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS or related field (or commensurate experience) Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve network issues using standard troubleshooting techniques (PING/TRACEROUTE) Knowledge of network monitoring protocols (SNMP) and systems such as Solarwinds Knowledge of trouble ticketing systems and methodologies Ability to configure and troubleshoot Cisco networking devices such as layer 2/3 switches, routers, and firewalls Ability to create and maintain Visio and Excel network documentation Ability to troubleshoot and support routing protocols such as EIGRP, OSPF and BGP Ability to troubleshoot and support WAN protocols and circuits; MPLS, DSL, and Ethernet Ability to terminate and troubleshoot Ethernet cabling connections Understanding of IP concepts including routing, sub-netting, and VLAN's Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills Requires excellent analytical, problem solving, organizational and time management skills. Ability to work with Internet service providers for circuit ordering and disconnects Ability to work in Jira and create/document workflows to update in Sharepoint Ability to work in Oracle Physical Requirements The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
