Job Description : We are looking for a diligent and enthusiastic Prep Cook to support our
kitchen team. As a Prep Cook at Voodoo Jacksonville, you will be responsible for preparing
ingredients, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, and assisting in the overall
kitchen operations to ensure smooth service.
Key Responsibilities :
Prepare and measure ingredients for menu items according to recipes and specifications.
Wash, peel, and chop vegetables, fruits, and other ingredients.
Measure and mix ingredients for sauces, dressings, and marinades.
Assist with the preparation of meats, seafood, and poultry.
Organize and maintain a clean and orderly kitchen and storage areas.
Label and stock all ingredients on shelves so they can be organized and easily accessible.
Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
Assist the Line Cooks and other kitchen staff as needed.
Perform additional kitchen duties as assigned by the Head Chef.
Qualifications :
Previous experience as a Prep Cook or in a similar role is preferred.
Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and food safety procedures.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
