Job Overview
The Laundry Attendant is responsible for pre-inspecting, pre-spotting, washing, drying and folding linens. The position is expected to maintain linens in a presentable and sanitary condition. The Laundry Attendant assists Housekeepers with other projects as needed and performs other duties as assigned by management.
Your day-to-day
- Sort, load, unload, fold and press linen and other items.
- Operate washing, drying and pressing equipment according to instruction, following all applicable safety standards.
- Maintain regular attendance in compliance with LodgeWorks standards as required by scheduling, which varies according to hotel needs.
- Clean lint filters in dryers daily.
- Follow proper OSHA/HAZCOM procedures.
- Inspect linen and towels for stains, tears and other imperfections. Report or log deficiencies to the Executive Housekeeper.
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds.
- Assist in removing dirty linen from vacant rooms.
- Stock linen closets with clean linen and guest room amenities.
- Receive and sort soiled linen into appropriate containers.
- Vacuum, sweep and mop hallways, lobby and BOH areas when asked.
- Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling and stooping.
- Provide professional and courteous service.
- Assist in any other task or duties as requested by management.

- Capable of reaching overhead, utilizing both hands, leaning over, stooping and kneeling.
- A plus: Practiced, with six months' related experience in hospitality or a service industry.
