Job Specific
Performs departmental opening and closing duties
Monitors and supervises Food & Beverage staff
Schedules Food & Beverage staff according to established guidelines and forecasted needs
Obtains hospitality function sheets, coordinates activities as needed to ensure timely performance of all necessary duties.
Oversee all aspects of Executive Lounge set up, service and breakdown
Oversees VIP amenity preparation and delivery, monitors in-house VIP's to ensure satisfaction
Supervises completion of required set up / preparation, at beginning of shift
Inspects all equipment prior to, during and at end of shift, reports any needed repairs to supervisor
Inventories supplies at beginning of shift, obtains supplies necessary to support forecasted level of business
Ensures trays and carts are reset as required throughout shift
Checks all Room Service Orders for accuracy and completeness prior to departing kitchen
Oversees/performs delivery of Room Service Orders to guestroom in a timely manner
Monitors/sets up and serves order in guest room, according to guest preference, in a polite professional manner
Ensures that proper charge authorization or payment for orders delivered is obtained
Monitors completion of departmental paperwork to ensure accuracy
Ensures cleanliness of Room Service and Restaurant equipment
Conducts spot-checks for Room Service and Restaurant
Assigns and verifies completion of closing duties at end of shift
Performs administrative functions for department in accordance with hotel standards
Maintains special service/amenity requests files and coordinates delivery of items requested
Analyze sales and determine introduction to mini bar offerings to make recommendations for new products to help improve profitability
Manages rotation of products to ensure waste is minimized
Effectively ensures proper posting of charges to correct guest rooms to minimize guest disputes
Attends meetings as required to communicate with personnel and stay current with pertinent hotel information and activities
Coaches , counsels, retrains employees as needed to ensure superior levels of service

General
Promotes and applies teamwork skill at all times
Notifies appropriate individual promptly and fully of all problems and/or unusual matters of significance
Is polite, friendly, and helpful to all guests, management and fellow employees
Attends all appropriate hotel meetings and training sessions
Maintains cleanliness and excellent condition of equipment and work area
Executes emergency procedures in accordance with hotel standards
Complies with required safety regulations and procedures
Complies with hotel standards, policies and rules
Recycles whenever possible
Remains current with hotel information and changes
Complies with hotel uniform and grooming standards
Qualifications
One plus years experience as Food & Beverage Supervisor in high volume, quality hotel operation, preferred
Previous experience working in front of house Food & Beverage operations
Thorough knowledge of quality Food & Beverage techniques and standards
Effective organization, communication and management skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
Ability to lift and carry food service trays weighting 35 pounds
TABC permit, or ability to obtain TABC permit
Ability to work flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays
