What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fresh Cut QC Coordinator position at Loffredo Fresh Foods?
JOB PURPOSE: Ensure that the current Food Safety standards and regulations are being implemented and Product Quality standards are being achieved and maintained.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Monitor all facets of Fresh Cut Processing from raw material receiving to the finished product.
Perform raw material audits on all incoming products which will be processed by the Fresh Cut Department.
Perform food safety verifications and monitoring, such as Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s).
Perform cleaning and sanitation verifications, such as, Pre-Operational Inspections and Operational Food Safety.
Perform regulatory driven audits, such as net weight and label verifications
Work within a team environment to help resolve issues and communicate issues and concerns to the appropriate personnel in a timely and effective manner.
Monitor for areas of improvement and be proactive in decision making.
Work independently to perform daily job duties and special projects in a timely manner.
Oversee food safety practices in processing and report any problems directly to SQF Practitioner
Perform other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma /GED
- General working knowledge of computers
- Strong communications skills are a must
- The ability to work independently as well as in a team setting
- Ability to work in cold environments for most of the working shift
- Flexibility to rotate hours if needed
- Previous experience in similar position -plus- but not required
