LMI is seeking a skilled Junior Financial Analyst for a Department of Homeland Security client. Successful candidates will demonstrate competency in financial management, budgeting, and revenue analysis for federal clients as well as strong critical thinking, relationship management, and teamwork.

Responsibilities
Responsibilities may include:
- Applies working knowledge of federal budget and financial management processes, activities, and analyses
- Applies working knowledge of, and ability to apply, financial concepts and theories to prepare budget exhibits, monitor funds, financial reporting and funds appropriation to solve problems
- Writing and presentation of results and analysis to client management
- Support development of client financial reports and documents
- Customer service activities, to include budget/finance process briefings and tailored financial analysis
- Strong quantitative analysis skills and attention to detail, with ability to analyze and forecast trends
- Strong Excel skills
- Ability to engage in process improvement initiatives
- Excellent communication/briefing skills; experience with briefing senior management a plus
- Demonstrated comfort working in a dynamic, changing environment
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field (Business, Finance, Accounting or Economics desired)
- Applies working knowledge of data collection and analysis methods
- Demonstrates knowledge of financial regulations and requirements
- Ability to communicate clearly with a wide variety of stakeholders
- Ability to effectively problem solve
- Profieciency in MS Office products
- This position requires a background investigation to btain agency-specific Public Trust clearance.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with DHS Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Execution (PPBE) processes and activities
