We grow plants, plants make people happy and we love hiring happy people! This Territory Sales positions objectives are to promote, sell and secure orders from existing and prospective customers through a relationship based approach.
Job Responsibilities
- Provides sales support and customer service to a variety of Loma Vista Nursery house accounts as assigned by sales manager.
- Establishes, develops, and maintains business relationships with current customers and prospective customers in the assigned territory/market segments assigned by management
- Makes telephone calls and in-person visits and presentations throughout assigned territory to existing and prospective customers as scheduled by sales manager
- Researches sources for developing prospective customers and for information to determine their potential
- Develops clear and effective written proposal/quotations for current and prospective customers
- Expedites the resolution of customer problems and complaints
- Coordinates sales effort with marketing, sales management, accounting, and logistics
- Plans and organizes personal sales strategy in order to maximize the return on time investment for the territory/segment
- Keeps abreast of product purposes, market conditions, competitive activities, advertising and promotional trends through the reading of pertinent literature, affiliation with related associations or groups, social networking
- Participates in trades shows, conventions, company functions, sales team meetings, and others events at request of management
Knowledge required
- Must be proficient in zone 5 shrubs and trees, including botanical and common names
- Must be a people person, with great verbal and written skills
- Ability to become proficient in SBI Nursery Software
Education/ Experience
- Bachelors degree in horticulture or related field or 4 years work experience in a related field.
