What are the responsibilities and job description for the Veterinary Receptionist/Client Service Representative position at Lone Star Animal Hospital?
Looking for a dynamic personality who is a self-starter with drive to be an independent worker at a single doctor practice. We are a close knit group of veterinary professionals hoping for an individual to join our team.
Job Summary: Performs clerical duties related to veterinary care and treatment, closely interacts with clients and patients, process invoices and payments, and assists veterinarians and other staff members in day to day operations.
Sample of Duties: Able to answer incoming telephone calls using a multi-line system. Follow established hospital guidelines for communication with clients in different types of situations such as general queries, scheduling appointments, routine and non-routine medical questions, patient emergencies, prescription refills, euthanasia, etc. Handle basic questions regarding hospital services, fees, and animal care and treatment in accordance with hospital policies. Relay medical instructions, itemize the client statement, inform clients about hospital policies such as pre-operative instructions, payment, credit policies, and vaccination policies. Make recalls to clients on a timely basis. Use a computerized scheduling program to schedule appointments as needed. Able to utilize computer program efficiently to enter and retrieve records, reports, enter fees and charges. Plus multiple other day to day duties not specifically listed. Must be able to organize work area and exercise time management skills to maximize personal efficiency within the practice.
Pay is dependent on experience level of applicant. Will increase depending on applicants previous experience and knowledge of veterinary medicine. We are able to negotiate pay with applicant at interview.
