What are the responsibilities and job description for the Traveling Music Teacher position at Lone Star School of Music?
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the students goals and needs
- Teach music theory and appreciation to students of all ages and skill levels.
- Instruct students on how to play various musical instruments such as guitar, piano, drums, and violin.
- Provide individual instruction to students in order to help them develop their musical skills.
- Manage behavior and maintain a positive learning environment.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff members to create a comprehensive music education to all students.
- Prepare and encourage students to participate in schools performances, recitals and music camps
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Music Education or related field preferred.
- Experience working with children is preferred.
- Reliable transportation is mandatory
- Strong communication skills to effectively communicate with students, parents, and staff members.
We will build your schedule from our current clients. Billing and scheduling is completely done for you. You drive to the student, teach and nurture their musical abilities. Your pay will be direct deposit. There are opportunities to make more income through having your students sign up for our performances at various locations and our studio in Lakeway Texas. We also award a teach every few months for stellar performance with a cash bonus.
Interviews and training will be held in person at our Lakeway location. Potential clients will perform a mock lesson on their instrument(s) they will be instructing to the owner. Mock lessons will be anywhere from 15-30 minutes. Training will be completed by shadowing various instructors at our studio in Lakeway Texas for one afternoon and is paid at $10/hr.
