Responsibilities
- Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area by sweeping, mopping, and wiping down surfaces regularly.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed to support kitchen staff during busy periods.
- Help with bussing tables and clearing away used dishes in dining areas to ensure a smooth flow of service.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
- Support catering events or banquets by ensuring all necessary items are cleaned and ready for service.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate cleaning schedules and prioritize tasks.
- Cleaning of bathrooms, trash pull, windows, sweeping perimeter of building
Skills
- Knowledge of food handling practices and sanitation standards.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Experience in culinary settings such as restaurants, hotels, or catering services is preferred but not required.
- Strong teamwork skills with a willingness to help others in the kitchen as needed.
- Familiarity with banquet service operations is a plus.
